The second stop in Symphonicity’s world tour is Austria – home of mountains, meadows and Mozart. Juilliard graduate Annika Jenkins will perform Mozart’s Violin Concerto No. 3 This concert will also feature Beethoven’s “Wellington’s Victory” and Schubert’s Unfinished Symphony No. 8.

Former BBC Symphony member and internationally renowned tubist James Gourlay will wave the flag of his native land – the United Kingdom – with Gregson’s Tuba Concerto. Other royal festivities will include presentations of Walton’s Crown Imperial, Elgar’s Pomp and Circumstance No. 1 and Enigma Variations.

The world tour concludes with the final destination of Virginia. Enjoy a tribute to our oceanview with “Le mer” by Debussy and a Hampton Roads premiere by famed Virginian composer, Mark Camphouse. Pianist Michael Davidman from the Curtis Institute helps us pay tribute to the Blue Ridge Mountains with Gershwin’s most famous rhapsody.
