• Audition With Us!

Symphonicity is an auditioned, non-union, volunteer community orchestra that is primarily governed by the musicians. We "play for the love of music" but membership requires a strong minimum standard in musicianship and work ethic. Official membership grants full voting rights with opportunities to serve and lead on the board of directors and committees.

Although most sections have a waitlist, new players are often added throughout the year. A current substitute list is also maintained. Extra "pops" concerts and certain chamber music events often provide performers with limited monetary compensation.

    * Orchestra Rehearsals occur on Tuesday evenings 7:45pm - 10pm in Virginia Beach, VA.

We would love for YOU to be a part of our Symphonicity family! Rolling auditions are scheduled as-needed throughout the season. Please contact one of our managers for your section to get more details.

Currently, our routine wind, brass (with horns as an exception) and percussion roster is full, but we do maintain and utilize a substitute list many times throughout the season or when we need to have larger than usual instrumentation.

Horn auditions are scheduled for November 20, 2023, 6:30-7:30 PM. Email Alan Brown for questions or information about the horn auditions.
