Perform With Us!
Symphonicity is an auditioned, non-union, community orchestra and chorus governed by the members. We "play for the love of music" but membership requires a strong standard in musicianship and work ethic. Official membership grants full voting rights with opportunities to serve and lead on the board of directors, groups and committees. New musicians are often added throughout the year. Instrumentalists can also audition for the current substitute list.
Half of the season performances are masterworks concerts and rehearsals which are volunteer only. Half of the season performances also include contracted performances, extra "pops" concerts and certain chamber music events which are often paid opportunities.
* Orchestra rehearsals occur on Tuesday evenings 7:45pm - 10pm in Virginia Beach, VA.
We would love for YOU to be a part of our Symphonicity family! Rolling auditions are scheduled as-needed throughout the season. Please contact one of our managers for your section to get more details.
Mark Haswell
Chorus Manager
Every year we bring together over one hundred singers to perform with the orchestra. Please email the Chorus Manager, Mark Haswell.
Danielle Fagan

There are opportunities for both full orchestra and chamber music playing. To find out more, email Danielle Fagan for details!
Alan Brown
Winds/Brass/Percussion Personnel Manager
Currently, our routine wind, brass (with horns as an exception) and percussion roster is full, but we do maintain and utilize a substitute list many times throughout the season or when we need to have larger than usual instrumentation. Email Alan Brown for questions or information about getting on our sub list.
